Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future in Uganda

The Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future program aims to improve education and career development outcomes for children and youth in Uganda. The program focuses on keeping children in school, early childhood education and development, entrepreneurship and career advancement, vocational training, and apprenticeship.

Program Objectives

Improve Education Outcomes

Increase access to quality education and reduce dropout rates among children and youth.

Promote Early Childhood Education and Development

Improve access to early childhood education and development programs, including preschool and nursery education.

Foster Entrepreneurship and Career Advancement

Provide entrepreneurship and career advancement training, including vocational training and apprenticeship.

Enhance Vocational Training and Apprenticeship

Provide vocational training and apprenticeship programs, including technical and vocational education and training.

In collaboration with Velocity Vocational Foundation and other partners, HHA has an accredited vocational skills program that supports the following components:

Workplace readiness– equipping our learners with essential soft skills around HHA’s focus areas such as agriculture, education, health care, etc
Work-Based Training– offering internships and placements that immerse our learners in real-world scenarios enabling them to apply their skills under guidance of experienced professionals
Simulation Center- with special workshops, work stations, labs to provide our learners with hands-on experience in controlled environments
Certification and Accreditation – in collaboration with Velocity Vocational Foundation, we offer our learners certification and licenses that are recognized by the government and other employers in Uganda.
