Holy Homes Africa
Holy Homes Africa (HHA) is a youth focused organization founded on Christian values. While Holiness is often associated with Godliness which we as Holy Homes Africa acknowledge, the acronym HOLY stands for Hope, Opportunities, Listening to Youth. The acronym informs HHA’s work and when you become part of our vision, you commit to listen to youth with love. To work together to inspire hope, develop and connect youth to meaningful opportunities. This is a journey and an opportunity to evangelize and share God’s Love because our work is Godly, humanitarian and builds hope, opportunities and resilience.
Africa has the youngest population in the world, with 70% of sub-Saharan Africa under the age of 30. Such a significant number of young people represents an opportunity for the continent’s growth – but only if the young generations are fully empowered to realize their full potential. HHA’s work will advance meaningful opportunities for young people to be active partners in the continent’s sustainable growth by ensuring their critical contribution are recognized in our priority sectors that include; housing and land tenure, environment and climate change, resilience and self reliance for all.
Our Vision
HHA seeks Africa where all youth are empowered to lead their own sustainable development and that of their communities.
Our Mission
Work together to inspire hope, develop and connect youth to meaningful opportunities.
Our Values
We are inclusive and diverse
We embrace diversity and promote equal opportunities for all. We listen to young people with love, inspire and empower them to be active in their own development and that of their communities. We value our staff as partners and develop them to their full potential.
We strive for transformative and lasting Impact
In everything we do and say, we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of young people and communities we serve. We challenge ourselves to be focused, innovative, bold and courageous.
We are open and accountable
We hold ourselves and others to account for the outcomes and decisions of our efforts. We create and nurture an environment of openness and trust inside and outside our organization.
Modes of engagement
HHA’s transformational model, [CIDP], empowers young people to access life-changing opportunities in the housing sector. Our approach begins by amplifying their voices and aspirations, then translating them into meaningful connections and inspiring youth to become active participants in shaping their own development and that of their communities and countries.
