YOUTH-CENTERED
HHA’s youth centered approach to development prioritizes young people as critical assets and key contributors to their own development and that of their communities and nations. In everything that we do, we are intentional in ensuring the active participation of youth -believing and trusting then as critical partners and drivers of our mission.
LISTEN
Listening to the perspectives, concerns, challenges, aspirations, pains, and dreams of young people is the first step towards understanding and including them as critical development partners. Today, young people are faced with numerous obstacles to achieving their dreams and often are isolated, ignored, undermined, forgotten and not listened to.
INSPIRE
HHA’s positive youth development program is inspirational by design- ensuring meaningful engagement at all levels.
HOPE
Young people who are listened to are often inspired to face their challenges, and with hope will be assertive and open to development and growth.
DEVELOP
HHA’s strategy, models and interventions are developmental oriented and designed to catalyze, trigger, and unlock the potential of young people to be able to face the current realities of harnessing existing opportunities.
CONNECT
Youth are the greatest asset that Africa has and will ever have. Our commitment is to provide a bridge for the youth-ensuring that we connect young people with these opportunities.
OPPORTUNITIES
Building trust, relationships and partnerships will be central to leveraging these opportunities including developing high-quality systems and mechanisms of data generation and management. HHA will champion the establishment of a national youth employers network/coalition which will provide overall Multi-sector coordination and engagement.
